Overview
Mkhonto National Union (MNU), is a progressive, left-wing, pan-African labour and social development movement. Rooted in the historical struggles and values of the African people, MNU draws inspiration from the African weapon “Umkhonto”, a traditional spear that symbolizes protection, resistance, and self-determination. The union stands as a modern African forum that advocates for workers’ rights, social justice, and the holistic upliftment of all people through African principles of unity, dignity, and development.
